TRINITY IMMIGRATION INITIATIVE

MIGRANT NETWORKS PROJECT – FACILITATING MIGRANT INTEGRATION

Mapping of Migrant Organisations

Using documentary analysis, ethnographic work and internet research, we have identified 432 migrant organisations and networks currently active in the Republic of Ireland. Our main purpose is to show-case the wealth and variety of migrants’ activism, and to provide a resource tool for civil society and other stakeholders, to facilitate the circulation and sharing of information, as well as maximising opportunities for networking. Our work is aimed to complement already existing directories and lists of migrant-led associations.
We conceive of this list as an ‘ongoing’ and ‘collaborative’ research project: therefore we call for interested parties, groups and individuals to contribute with suggestions, updates and corrections.

Aims
1.To support, advise and assist Ethnic Minority living in Ireland.
2.To facilitate and promote the integration and adaptation of Ethnic Minority living in Ireland, as well as to take part in the social and political events.
3.To promote and advance community development projects to alleviate poverty and improve the living conditions of Ethnic Minority living in Ireland.
Objectives
The Ethnic Minority in Ireland is a social organization which directs its activities towards social and political events and its objectives are:
1.To contribute to the cultural and educational development of the ethnic minority.
2.To support and organize cultural, sport and entertainment events for ethnic minority.
3.To facilitate young people to explore and understand different cultures.
4.To help the integration into Irish society.
5.To build a positive and active Ethnic Minority perspective to participate in the Irish society.
6. To build a network of different communities in Ireland who have similar projects.
7. To support Ethnic Minority women to participate in the development of the community.
8.To equip our youth with the necessary skills and abilities to gain more successful professional skills and livelihood.
9.To teach the youngsters respect for intercultural and interfaith
